DCCA Open Events
We are proud to announce the publication of our best ever Ofsted report!
The inspectors were full of praise of our school, saying:
“Leaders have established a highly inclusive culture in the school... Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have their needs met extremely well.”
“Pupils are happy and thriving in this welcoming school... Staff build positive relationships which help pupils to feel a secure sense of belonging.”
“Leaders have embedded a highly positive culture of behaviour. Pupils consistently understand the high expectations that staff have for how they should behave.”
“Pupils are extremely well cared for. Staff thoroughly understand pupils' pastoral needs... They trust staff and are confident that their worries will be taken seriously.”
“Pupils write with increasing stamina, fluency and accuracy... On the whole, pupils articulate their learning well and apply their knowledge to new learning with growing confidence.”
“Leaders have made significant improvements in pupils' attendance... As a result, pupils have very positive attendance habits.”
“Through the 'Turner 25' enrichment offer, pupils are extremely well supported in their character development. Pupils explore their talents and interests, deepen their cultural awareness and build connections with the community.”
This means that DCCA, which joined Turner Schools three years ago in 2023, is performing exceptionally well and has never in its history had such a positive report.
